One of the options found on the Accounts and contacts view is the managing of calls made to a contact or account.
Every time a contact from an account is called, a record of what happened during that call is recorded. By clicking on the “Calls“ icon from within a contact, a window will open where we can fill in the fields to establish the call:
- Subject: why the call was made
- Type of call: Outgoing or Incoming.
- Reason for the call: select from a drop down menu with available reasons for the call.
- Home: By default when the “Calls” button is clicked.
- Duration: Duration of the call, a timer is included to easily monitor call times. If the timer is activated, the call tab flashes in red to inform us that we are creating a record of this call.
- Result: A select from a drop down menu with available results for the call.
- Description: An explanation or description of the call can be written to complement all above information.
Once the call has been recorded, press the “Save” button to save this record and allow for future reference. If the call is clicked, the call log will appear so that you can review all the details of the call.
